Kelvin de Ruiter Wins 2022 Strongman Champions League Holland
On June 18, 2022, 14 strongmen from across the globe converged on Doetinchem, Netherlands to compete in six events at the 2022 Strongman Champions League (SCL) Holland contest. The single-day contest featured a Truck Pull, a Viking Press, a Hercules Hold, a Super Woke, Conan’s Wheel, and the Atlas Stones. When all was said and done, Kelvin de Ruiter emerged victorious on home territory. Here are the full results below:

de Ruiter’s contest victory came on the back of four wins out of the six events. His worst performance was the Viking Press, where he finished 11th, and the Hercules Hold, where he finished eighth. Truck Pull
Each strongman was tasked to pull an 18,000-kilogram (39,683.2-pound) truck 25 meters in the fastest time possible. There was a 75-second time cap. de Ruiter came out with a bang to open the contest, winning the event but just over two seconds.

Viking Press
Each athlete was given 60 seconds to Viking Press 150 kilograms (330.7 pounds) as many times as possible. Bilton proved his prowess in overhead events and took first place points. Kohlruss scored his second straight runner-up finish, clearing the first third of the contest in a consistent fashion.

Hercules Hold
The Hercules Hold is a strongman mainstay event that tests the grip strength of competing athletes. Two pillars fall away from a platform and each athlete attempts to static hold them from toppling for as long as possible.

Atlas Stones
The classic finishing event for elite strongman events closed the show in the Netherlands. de Ruiter scored his fourth event win, loading all five stones in 57.38 seconds — nearly 10 ahead of runner-up Khazov. The stones ascended in weight from 120 to 180 kilograms (264.6 to 396.8 pounds).
